creating creative content in science
A QUICK INTRO
My zeal and passion for Science and Scientific Research were triggered sometime in middle school. I knew from back then that I belonged in science. However, a couple of years into the system and I realised that I find communicating science more engaging than actually doing science; I changed tracks. Lucky for me, communications was, both, an interest and a skill.
My last salaried job was at the Indian Academy of Sciences, where I worked as the Content Editor for Digital Communications. Today, I work as a freelancer accepting a variety of jobs in Science that include Creative Writing, Content editing, Copyediting, Illustrations and Designs. So, technically, I am still in Science, although now, I only handle the creative end of it. And, gladly so.
Yes, I can concoct a fresh batch of a faultless PCR mix, even if woken up from the middle of my sleep. I am also kind of proud of my competence in western blotting and a whole lot of other lab skills. I have been appreciated for my teaching methods... project management roles... cooking... craftwork... However, bragging aside, this section focusses only on those skills of mine that Iie in communication– more specifically, in science communication.
